Oleksandra Bondarenko is a co-CEO of Legit. Oleksandra is leading the revenue generation unit, direct sales and programmatic monetisation, operations and technical development.
Having joined the company as a Junior-level specialist, throughout the years with Legit, Oleksandra has had hands-on experience within various departments and areas.
She managed to grow the media to the number one position in the markets of its presence.
In her free time, Oleksandra enjoys outdoor activities with her family and friends.

Olena Bohynska is the Co-CEO of Legit (formerly GMEM), with extensive experience building and scaling digital products and teams. She began her career at Legit as Editorial Manager, later becoming Head of Content before being appointed Co-CEO. Olena oversees strategy, growth initiatives, and product development across international markets. Her leadership focuses on collaboration, disciplined execution, and building scalable products that create meaningful impact for users.

At Legit, Yegor leads video projects across YouTube, Meta, and TikTok, and develops strategic partnerships that support media growth. Since joining in 2021, he has launched and scaled projects reaching over 2 million subscribers worldwide. One of his key projects, Cuddle Buddies, has become a fast-growing animal media brand across major social platforms. Yegor has over 10 years of experience in media production and previously worked as a journalist and producer for Ukrainian outlets.

Rahaman Abiola is the Editor-in-Chief at Legit.ng, where he leads editorial strategy, manages the newsroom, and oversees content direction while ensuring timely coverage of news and emerging trends. He promotes data-driven storytelling and exclusive reporting while maintaining strict editorial and legal standards. Under his leadership, Legit.ng was recognized by the Reuters Institute as Nigeria’s largest digital media platform. Rahaman studied at Obafemi Awolowo University and Pan Atlantic University, Lagos.

Julia Majale is the Managing Director at Tuko.co.ke, where she leads business operations, strategic growth, and brand development for one of Kenya’s leading digital news platforms. She oversees sales, finances, revenue development, and company culture. Since joining in 2016 as a junior editor, Julia has grown with the company to lead a newsroom of more than 60 staff. She has received several industry recognitions, including awards from the Kenya Editors Guild and Women in Digital.

Jacob Otieno Onyango is the Editor-in-Chief at TUKO.co.ke, where he leads editorial strategy, newsroom innovation, and content quality for one of Kenya’s leading digital news platforms. He oversees editorial planning, newsroom operations, talent development, and special projects. Under his leadership, TUKO was named Kenya’s Leading Digital News Platform for three consecutive years by the Media Council of Kenya. Jacob is a seasoned journalist with over a decade of experience in digital and print media.

Samuel Obour is the Managing Director of YEN.com.gh, where he leads business strategy and operations. Since joining in 2016, he has helped transform YEN into one of Ghana’s leading digital media platforms and a trusted partner for major global advertising firms. Samuel has over 15 years of experience in print and digital media and previously worked at Graphic Communications Group Limited. He holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Ghana.

Rianette Cluley is the Media Project Manager at Briefly News, where she leads digital media initiatives and supports newsroom innovation. She focuses on integrating AI tools and organizing webinars and workshops to build future-ready skills for media professionals. Rianette joined Briefly News in 2016 and grew from journalist and photographer to a leadership role, helping the platform reach over 10 million monthly readers. She has completed advanced training through programs by the Thomson Reuters Foundation and JournalismAI.

Maryn Blignaut is the Editor-in-Chief of Briefly News, where she leads editorial strategy and digital storytelling for one of South Africa’s most widely read online news platforms. With nine years of journalism experience, she focuses on audience-driven storytelling, newsroom leadership, and digital content innovation. Maryn holds a BA in Communication Science and has participated in the WAN-IFRA Women in News leadership programme and the Thomson Reuters Foundation’s AI training for media professionals.
